Let me start off by saying these two are probably the most passionate and energetic couple I have ever worked with. When Dakota and Alec reached out to me, I was so intrigued by their love and the adventurous way they wanted to celebrate it. Their special day truly exemplified the idea of your wedding can look however you want it to.
The nuptials took place on the grounds of a motor speedway. Kicking things off with a bang, Dakota, Alec, and their wedding party rolled up to the ceremony on razor vehicles. An industrial garage, which typically stores large racing cars, was the location for the dinner and dance. Building out a reception space, starting with nothing but the structure's bare bones was my biggest task of the planning process. I worked with Après to create a dinner floor plan for 320 guests, making sure to leave enough room for them to dance the night away.
Utilizing this opportunity to express her creativity, Dakota built out some incredible signs, backdrops, lounge sets, and other displays! These bold pieces accentuated her bohemian vision with a warm, terracotta color palette. Realizing her strengths, Dakota has since started a custom rental business - proud small-business owner moment!
Understanding this couple and his assignment, Innate Light, led the way capturing photos that displayed movement, intimacy, and excitement. Taking full advantage of the grounds and some fun props along the way, we got some kick-ass shots from this one-of-a-kind day!
